Scope and Contents note

From the Series:

The Correspondence Series contains paper based materials and is arranged alphabetically by the last name of the correspondent. Though much of the correspondence is brief, this series documents Cyert’s prominence within both the academic and scientific communities as well as within the city of Pittsburgh. Many correspondents such as University of Pittsburgh Chancellor Mark Nordenberg, the Board of Trustees of the H. J. Heinz Company, Elsie Hillman, and the National Institute of Statistical Sciences offer thanks and recognition for Cyert’s influence throughout his tenure at CMU. The majority of these materials are from 1996-1998, the last years of Cyert’s life.
