The Events represented in this series are primarily symposia and colloquia organized by the department. The majority of these materials stem from the Symposia in honor of the 10th and 25th Departmental Anniversaries.There are some materials from national conferences, but most of the materials from national conferences or symposia took place in Pittsburgh and were co-sponsored by CMU. Also included are various non scholarly events such as building dedications and center openings, professorship/chair announcements, commencement ceremonies and alumni events.
