From the Series:

The majority of the documents contained in the Miscellaneous Series consist of Alan Perlis' correspondence from the years 1955-1956. The correspondence is from his Tenure at Purdue University and is mainly between he and companies or universities regarding the use of Purdue's computer system or educational programs. Articles which portray general issues having to do with Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence are also featured within this series. These articles seem to have come to the department from a clippings agency.
