Chest plate for Atlas humanoid robot, ca. 2014
Scope and Contents
The materials in this subseries represent projects specifically created at Carnegie Mellon, by students, staff, and faculty members. They are not projects with which Atkeson was personally involved, but represent his efforts at preserving the work of his colleagues. Included here are the Direct Drive Arms I and II, created by Takeo Kanade, Harry Asada, and others, as well as pieces of other projects. Most of the items in this subseries exist in their completed state; the exceptions here are the "HERB" robotic butler, which no longer has its arms, and the chestplate for the Atlas robot.
