Federal Board for Vocational Education
Scope and Contents
The VETERANS series contains records regarding World War I veterans. This includes records related to the administration of the Federal Board for Vocational Education and the Federal Board for Vocation Rehabilitation programs which operated at CIT, as well as extensive war records for students and alumni.
The Federal Board sub-series contains standard administrative papers, with correspondence, roster, inventories, registration information, and financial papers. In addition to information about the purchase of supplies, the vouchers include correspondence and lists of students who participated in the program.
The war records are standardized forms. Each contains the record of a soldier in the war, as told by the soldier himself (or a relative in the case of a casualty).
