Walter J. Blenko Sr. Papers

 Collection
Identifier: 0000-0001

Scope and Content Note

The Walter Blenko Papers are housed in four archival boxes and arranged into three series. Series have been designated for Trustees' committees, correspondence, and subject files. Generally, these papers include meeting minutes, correspondence, and reports. Generally, this collection provides additional information about issues covered by the meeting minutes of the Board of Trustees. Mr. Blenko, Sr. served on the Board of Trustees during a time of great change for the University. Trustees were faced with student unrest and campus governance in the late 1960s, the merger with Carnegie Institute in 1967, and the separation of the University's Board of Trustees from the Carnegie Institute in 1959. This collection contains little information about Mr. Blenko personally.
