This collection consists of items from Geiss’s Kiltie Band uniform, the band’s itinerary to the 1939 Sugar Bowl, a photo of Geiss in his uniform, and a picture of Geiss from 2008. The collection is divided into two series: Series 1. Kiltie Band Items; Series 2. Photos.

Biography
Charles J. Geiss was born in Pennsylvania, June 8, 1919. He graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology’s Department of Electrical Engineering in 1939, a member of Kappa Delta Rho, Theta Tau, Eta Kappa Nu, and the Kiltie Band. The Kiltie Band followed the school’s football team to the Sugar Bowl in 1939. Geiss died in Colorado Springs, CO, in 2009.
