This series contains papers documenting the Institute's research projects, including published annual research reviews, description sheets of research projects, and slides of robots that developed and built by the Institutes; material about various events, including videos; and general brochures about the Institute.

The first series contains various published papers, books, presentations, and conference proceedings from research conducted at the Institute. All of these projects, except one, involved Dr. Takeo Kanade, as well as other staff and faculty at the Institute. They are arranged chronologically by date of publication.
