This series contains newsclippings and news releases about the Robotics Institute, including its fundation, as well as some files on specific faculty members. The files on Hans Moravec were received from the School of Computer Science's Public Relations director. Some of the newspaper clippings have been photocopied for preservation purposes.

The first series contains various published papers, books, presentations, and conference proceedings from research conducted at the Institute. All of these projects, except one, involved Dr. Takeo Kanade, as well as other staff and faculty at the Institute. They are arranged chronologically by date of publication.
